2006 Poetry Contest

This year's contest has now closed. Please check back in mid-May for a list of winners.

Two divisions:
Student: (Grades 7 - Senior 4) Adult: (ages 18 and over)
 

Prizes:
Prizes in the student division are: First ($100), Second ($75), Third ($50).  Prizes in the adult division are: First ($150), Second ($100), and Third ($50). All winners will be published in the Collective Consciousness, the bimonthly journal of The Writers' Collective.
 

Rules:
Only original, unpublished poetry may be submitted, maximum 42 lines per poem. Poems should be typed, using spacing of poet's choice, one side only, on 8.5 x 11 inch white paper. Author's real name should not appear anywhere on the manuscript. Minimum of 3 poems per entry, maximum of 6. Enter as often as you like, only one prize awarded per person. Each new entry of 3-6 poems should include an entry fee. Fee is $10 per entry, $5 for Writers' Collective members.  Submit three copies of each poem. Entries must be postmarked by Monday, April 3, 2006.
